One of the factors involved between planting time and showing babies time is dependant on how deep you planted the stem.
As the new plantlets start from the base of the stem, the deeper the stem the longer the time to show.
If after you tugged it seemed rooted just be patient.

Give them some time. There are a lot of factors that determine how quickly your leaves will produce plantlets. If your leaves have rooted, your well on your way to having an abundance of little AVs. You didn't mention whether or not you still have the leaves bagged - probably you will have the best results if you keep them bagged (or covered) - even after the plantlets appear and begin growing.

I will re-bag them and be patient; I think although I placed the leaves in an angle; they may be planted deeper than required indeed.

Next time, I will follow the information for planting medium choice mentioned in the different threads in this forum.

By the way, I successfully revived a sucker that only had 2 healthy leaves left. I will post a photo when I take one soon. However, it was my first attempt to separate two suckers from two mother plants, and the two mother plants were very unhealthy and were mini AVs. I think I may need to repot them in smaller cups as mentioned in this forum -1/3rd of the size of the AV. As my large container may later cause root rot. I am going to wait a month more in order to have them get stronger, since they were separated only 2 months ago. I am scared of hurting the root systems. And I need to find those mini solo cups everyone is talking about. :)

You can buy the mini solo cups in Walmart in the aisle with paper cups & such. They are relatively inexpensive too.

The Solo brand of 3 ounce cups are more flimsy than the 3 ounce cups I bought from Walmart. They are marked GREAT VALUE 100 Bath Cups and are 3 ounce.
