| My 30 year old African Violets were subjected to 48 hours of cold when we lost heat during a blizzard. Some of these plants belonged to my now-deceased mother so they have real sentimental value. Is there any hope of saving them? The leaves are all wilted. Thank you. |

| On the Optimara site, on the plant care page, there are detailed instructions on what to do for violets that have been subjected to cold. I hope this helps. Also, imho, I think some people are too hasty in throwing out damaged violets. These plants are tough and, given the proper care and a lot of patience, can often become beautiful specimens again. | I had that happen a few winters ago. I saved them by getting the best looking leaf on the plant and puttting it in soil to propagate. I hope this helps you. If you haven't done any leaf propagation there are lots of video tutorials on youtube. |
