Does my AV look 'right'?

I see so many other pictures of mature AV's, and mine always seems to look different. This is the only AV I've had for a while, so I don't have any older ones myself to compare it to. I'm mainly referring to the fact that it seems to be nothing but leaves, you can't even see through them. When I see other AV's, the leaves are either spread out or not so bunched. I know bunched leaves can be a sign of too much light, but this plant is 12" away from my 2 40 watt bulbs and gets 12 hours a day. Nothing extreme. Plus the leaves aren't burnt or too light. Or is it just putting out new leaves pretty fast, so it's always crowded in the center? Or is it just this type of AV and that's how it's supposed to look?

Does this look okay?? Is it just me?
