I dont know where you are planning on ordering from. But I have been buying/getting violets all winter, on EBay, from one seller I always use, he includes a heat pack in the box and I have never lost a single plant in several years of shipping in the winter. He is in Delaware and I am in south Fla. The violets arrive almost hot! One heat pack keeps a big priority mail box VERY warm for 3 days. The temps. now are so warm,he is telling me it is MY option now to even not include the heat pack. It does cost $2 a box more. But my violets all arrive alive and in full bloom!

I dont know if it is allowed, but his screen name is 'Blufford' and on EBay he sells like 25 different violets each week. His sales end each Sunday at 8pm. Then you get your violets by Thurs. at the latest. I am sorry if posting his name is against any rules here,...but I think his violets are wonderful, and he has different varieties each week. Always arrive in bloom, and never a pest in sight. Take a look, maybe he has something you might like.
