Hello All:

Still looking for Delft Imperial. Does anyone out there have Delft Imperial? Would you be willing to sell me 4 leaves? Thanks in advance...Margaret

i remember you already posted it once. So i googled around a bit.

but I am not sure that this business is still around. There was a mention of it on a Violet-brats forum, so I bet somebody still grows it - but it is so old ... it can be extinct any moment. Good luck.

I have a few more questions.What is the Violet-brats forum? How do I contact Barbara Elkin? Does she still write the Vintage Violet column in the AVM? I'm not a member of the African Violet Club, can I still ask Barbara Elkin about where to find Delft Imperial? I don't think Harborcrest Gardens is in exsistance anymore. The last thing on their website is 2004 with no explanation about why they've stopped. Hope someone reads this thread who can connect me to someone or maybe a nursery that still sells Delft Imperial. I do not think anybody sells it anymore. It is so very vintage - and seems to be a very good one - when you find it - you are just obliged to propagate it and share. It is still in the collections, but may be 3 people in States have it.

The Brats forum - is one of the very best on Violets. Join them - you will have lots of info and fun.

Barbara Elkin - is a super nice lady. She will definitely answer you and she will advise you what to do next but may be not immediately. Her email is on AVSA site on advertising commitee.

I got a starter from a lady who grew it - and it turned that the plant was mislabeled and she actually already lost the true "Chrysler Imperial".

It seems more and more that it is history.
