Coir has too much SALT in it. AV's don't like it.

I tried switching to it about year ago and after About 6 month I switched back , but only after losing about half the plants that I put into it .

2 issues - some of coir is really salty - and the good quality one that is not salty - will do really well for some time - and the it starts deteriorating and the byproducts will kill the AVs.

It is a really good product for hanging baskets with annuals. It will hold through the summer - and afterwards who cares.

So = if you already bought it - use it for the annuals in the containers.
