Most Unusual/Beuatiful Fantasy Violet....Opinions?

I am sorry IF this is a repeat question from me....but I dont recall if I asked this. I love fantasy blooming violets, and I have to many already probably, but I am looking for ones that more knowledgeable growers consider the most outrageous/beautiful/odd looking fantasy blooms.

I prefer single blooms, but doubles are fine, I have a preference for semi-minis,to be able to grow more, but standards are fine. Ones like single purple blooms with hot pink spots/splashes,or blues with white or pink or several colors on it. Something that makes you stop and look at it.

I know everyone will have their own opinion,so I am asking. Especially if you have pics. of your blooms??? I would love to see some HOME grown blooms. Not catalog pictures. I have found the blooms I get rarely look as 'fantasy' as in the catalog pics.

So...any real odd, or fantastic fantasy violets out there? I would like to see them and see if I want to hunt for them. Thanks.

Rebel's Splatter Kake (cake with a K) has star shaped singles. Pink with purple fantasy and white edge. Leaves are spooned medium green. It's a standard. I'll try and find a pic of one I had before I sold it.

Hi. I have 6 of the 'Splatter Kake' violet. I love that one. Thus I have propagated it over and over! It is a favorite. It is colors/mixes like that that I love! Thank you for your opinion.

If you like Rebel's Splatter Kake you might like Playful Spectrum. It's similar, though more variable from flower to flower.

I have 3 Playful Spectrums as well. These are the types I love...i am now looking for the darker colored ones, blues/purple with hot colors??? Something like that. Are there any? Glad to know I have some 'good' fantasy violets.:)

Though I've never owned it, I have seen Jean-Pierre Croteau and it's stunning. Purple stars with coral fantasy on dark foliage, but it's a large grower.

I second Jean-Pierre Croteau; it's a magnificent plant, and easy to grow.

Ness Midnight Fantasy.

I like Kake too - except for the foliage - it is on unruly side.

Looks like I have to go search for this Jean-Pierre Croteau...I have the others, so this one seems to be very popular. anyone know who sells it?

Lyndon Lyons and Violet Barn both have Jean Pierre Croteau. They both have a lot of violets with fantasy. JPC is nice because the fantasy puffs are stable. The leaves are very dark, get quite large. A very vigorous healthy specimen ( unless nibbled on by naughty kittehs)
