I found this rather weird ......

I'm used to seeing pups forming along the stem of the mother plant or at its base, but not on little runners like a spider plant ....

The 'runner' was surprisingly tough too -- not crisply succulent like the leaf petioles or flower stalks.

These "runners" are called "baskets" for some reason.

I've had a few plants that had baskets.
