I read the recent article on wicking violets and found one mistake in the article. I sent the following correction to AVSA:

I was reading the article on wicking and near the end of the article the author was talking about material. She used the term Acryllic wool. I know of no such item on the market today. Acryllic is man made and wool is a natural fiber. I think that people who are unfamiliar with fibers will be confused. I believe that the author should have said acryllic yarn not wool. I believe I am correct in this matter and I think it should be corrected in the next issue before people start using wool for their wicks. What I tell people I use for wicking is 4 ply acryllic worsted weight yarn. I use four plies for standards and two plies for minis and semis.
