undeveloped flowers

Several of my plants are producing very short flower stems with buds that never develop.
What could be the problem?

I do not see any insects/mites

What are other symptoms of the plant?

This could be anything from a lack of humidity to some dreadful bug.

Hi wesinmi, I'm probably one of the least qualified people on this board to give advice.

However... I had a similar problem with one store bought AV. It looked sickly even then.

So I cut the long-stemmed leaves, cut suckers, and then put a plastic baggy around the plant. Within days those miniscule buds started blooming. The suckers are also growing back rather quickly.

I beg to differe with the "least qualified" because it sounds like you've had the experience that the original poster was asking about.

Post away, honey!
