Yes, you really are missing something.

FC2 is a program put out by AVSA and cost, I believe $25 initially. Then when updated, it costs $10 for a period.

FC2 has over 16,0000 names of African violets, both registered and not registered. Registered means it has a number which is necessary in order to compete with the collection classes in any AVSA sponsered show.

Many of these varieties have two pictures so you can check both with the written description of the plant and you can see the picture.

There is a program within this program which allows you to add your own violets if you would like to keep a record of what you have.

Most really gung-ho members use FC2 daily. You could also just buy the basic FC2 for many of the plants but each year hybridizers send in their descriptions and photos so that buying the update is important to many.

I highly recommend this program if you are really "into" violets.

I just got this program a while ago, and I love love love it!! It's so useful to look up descriptions, and the pictures are all great!
The ones that are missing pictures, it's a goal of mine to try and grow up those varieties pretty enough so that I can submit a picture! :)

I also want this program also its a bit expensive and right now I am having to start over all my violets were stolen this spring when i set them out in some fresh warm air and i dont have but 2 now i am so depressed over this one was my mothers who is now gone.
