You know, a lot of people are dissatisfied with the quality they get from ebay purchases. I also think people just don't want to take the time to package items well. Also their descriptions are sometimes not descriptive enough.

Many violets will overcome their travel experience, but it will take some time. I got a micro mini Rainbows End trailer cutting that was crushed by the thick baggie it was sent in. It took months to get a plant, as only the tip was good and it didn't want to take, but finally it did. It is also a shame when the leaves aren't viable to restart a plant either.

Like you, I have never had any kind of luck with the plastic bag. Deli containers work best for me. There should be no difference I know, but still anything I ever put in a plastic bag or baggie has not lived.

The trick with the greenhouse effect is less moisture is better, too much and you will get rot, if it seems too moist, dry off the excess water that will collect on the sides and top. I like the restaraunt containers, and the potato salad and such deli containers and also those round deli cake containers as well. My daughter likes those cold starbucks coffee drinks and when she brings them home, I rescue (from our trash can) the clear cups with lid it comes in for rooting things or sowing seeds.
