Usually leaves reach up like yours because they are not getting enought light. Insufficient light also causes the stems to be long and spindly.

So, light is the number one concern for your plant. Placing the plant where it gets more light will help the leaves to flatten out.

I see you have it in a self-watering container. If you have read many of the posts here you will have seen that they are generally discouraged for several reasons. It can be difficult to control the amount of water seeping thru the pores of the pot, and the pores will eventually plug up. You can't run water thru the pot to leach out built up fertilizer salts since there is no drainage hole.

If the plant were mine, I would repot it into a plain plastic pot that is 1/3 the diameter of the plant. That measurement is taken AFTER any old, misshapen, or damaged leaves are removed. Give it good bright but indirect light, and it should recover nicely.

Yes, I had read that self-waterers were not good for them. I just haven't had time to repot it. I'm going to this weekend. As well as seeing about growing one from the sucker. Now that it is summer I should be able to have the blinds open more and can move it to a better place. Thanks again!
