trace elements

Hello All. I trust we are all having a fabulous weekend.

I'm putting together an order to The Violet Showcase. They have a nice selection of small plastic pots. In fact they seem to have anything you might need, including several of the common remedies we discuss here.

On to my question: Should I add a trace element mix to my next batch of soil? Can it hurt?

My plants are all basically happy and healthy. I have three or four plants that don't seem to be completely happy. One has slight haloing. That type of thing. But three or four out of sixty ain't bad. I really think that my biggest problem is PH. I am getting a quality PH tester next week and I'm expecting that my PH is way acidic, and getting control will make a big difference.

I use the standard 1:1:1 mix with extra pearlite as all of my plants are wicked and a bit of horticultural charcoal. I alternate between Optimara 14-12-14 and a 15-16-17 that I lost the label for. I use a short 1/4 tsp. per gallon and a tiny bit of Physan 20.

Thanks for your time.

Thom
