Years back we were given some glass insulator cups off of old telephone poles. They measured about 4" in width & depth. . . no drainage holes but very heavy. They were never in danger of falling off a shelf.

I use all kinds of plastic things mostly, but for display I usually put them in cachepot.
the other week I bought sev green plastic tumblers for my smaller AV's on wicks - I think it's looking great AND functional too. they sort of glow in a good light. neat!

Hey! I do that too, but with various cups I find from Goodwill. Tons of mugs and sets that make perfect wicking reservoirs. Love the green!

it's NOID either from HD or from anthoflores, Canada from my supermarket (these are my only, very mundane sources). it's sporting on some flowers, it's the same as on the right - meaning, it's from the same plant: I had an experimental 'palm' with 3 stems going ;). like a tree. and eventually I cut them off and rooted 3 identical plants (in the pic). but one is developing these 5 spars on some flowers.
