What is Michigan peat???
I recently saw a recipe for African violet potting soil. The first ingredient was 4 parts peat moss.
The second ingredient was 5 parts Michigan peat.
Anyone know what it is?
Google brought up Michigan Peat Company but this product
does not show in their website.
thanks
george

RE: Michigan peat

Hi, Mich peat is where it came from. People say Canadian peat is the best.

Use 3 parts peat (gal) 2 parts vermiculite 1 part perlite.
add 2 table spoons of dolimite lime and mix well.
