Thank God for the rain this morning! I was down to my last gallon for my violets. They love it! I was out holding the umbrella over my head, collecting it from this one downspout. My butt got very wet, but it was worth it! :-) Should I put it in gallon jugs to preserve the nitrogen? I plan on collecting more next time it rains to tide me over the winter here in Michigan.

I hope you saved all the water including the water from your very wet behind ;-))

I am collecting the AC runoff because we just do not have too much rain in summer. And you can buy some distilled water in a store for 99c. Depending what is in your tap water - sometimes the best combination is to mix tap and rain water.

Yeah, I wrung out my shorts! Pure rain water seems to work the best for me. I have about 30 gallons saved up now, more rain later today, so I'll get another few gallons to top off the tank!
