Wick Watering

About a month ago, I switched all of my violets over to wick watering. All of them have done really well with it except my one violet. It doesn't seem to want to cooperate. The soil is never wet, and the water reservoir is always full. I have been occasionally top watering to help it along, but my violet it slowly going down hill. I used the 1:1:1 mix for soil, with a little more perlite on the bottom. Is there anything I can do to get the plant to start taking water from the reservoir? I'm going out of town this weekend, and I'm not at all concerned about my other violets, but this one has me worried.
