I posted this photo earlier on someone else's thread re propagation. I think nobody's checking that one any more because I haven't received a response. I'd like to know if this is viable: I have molded a double layer of al foil over a shot glass, filled that with vermiculite dampened with diluted liquid rooting medium -- no holes in the bottom. Into that I planted a leaf, nestling the whole thing inside a tall styrofoam cup with some damp gravel in the bottom (actually crushed granite chicken grit). The gravel is mostly to keep the foil cup steady. Then I placed it all in a baggie which I pinched shut, leaving a partial opening for air.
Is this likely to work? It is on a north-facing windowsill.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just make sure that theh mix doesn't stay wet.

| I think he means sopping wet, because there is no drainage. Just my guess. |

OK. Thank you. I'll keep the vermiculite just damp and I'll let you know the results in about a month.

Sorry for the confusion. I did mean sopping wet. The mix should be damp but not soggy.
