you got 2 varieties straight from hybridizer - and Rob (Dr. Ralph Robinson) - produces show winners. Rob's Scrumptious is semi-mini - so it will grow up to 8", Rob's Itchy britches is a mini - so up to 6".
Rob recommends to keep the pot size small - probably no more than solo cup to keep the plants from getting too large.

Irish Flirt is a semi-mini. It holds the bloom fresh for long long time. My problem with it - it's sports into pink tint easily - but otherwise it is a great variety.

Yes - I got plants from Rob and always was very happy with my orders. Sometimes the plants are on a small side - but they are healthy, bug free - and as soon as you take them out of the box - they recover really well. Plus their packing is very good!

I just recently placed my first order with The Violet Barn (this was actually a birthday present). I ordered Rob's Bunny Hop, Rob's June Bug, Rob's Jitterbug, Rob's Knickers, Rob's Whiz Bang, and Rob's Zipper Zapper. I was very pleased when the package arrived last week. Like Irina mentioned, the plants were extremely well packed - there was not a broken leaf in the box. The plants were a little small (I guess that's relative when we're talking about miniature varieties); however three of them were blooming when they arrived.

Are these your first African Violets? Be careful - it only takes a couple of plants to get you hooked (my wife calls it obsessed)! Thanks, Irina and Tim! No, they aren't my first, my cat Hailey ate my first. :) i have some supermarket african violets in my window now, though, and they haven't been eaten so far. Hopefully it stays like that. :D it's really cool we can order plants straight from the breeder. It's alright if the plants are small, I like african violets best when they are small. Wow, Tim, I hope one of my african violets is blooming!
