I would say that is a very good sign . I think that the new leaves will come on and then it will bloom again . Just remember don't over water or over pot. Good luck.

Though there are a few varieties that bloom constantly, most still take a break inbetween. Leaf growth shows you the plant is healthy, and when it has some extra energy again, it will start another bloom cycle....

African Violets grow new leaves from the top, center. They grow in groups of three's. If the leaf growth is near the bottom of the plant where the larger, older leaves are, then it is called a "sucker," or a new plant that is starting to grow. If this is the case, then you have some choices.
You can either let it alone, or remove it.
Many people prefer to try to carefully remove the sucker because they want to keep the main plant growing in a circular pattern. If the sucker is carefully removed in one piece, it can be planted in its own tiny pot to try to root it to start a new plant. It is normal for the flowers to die off. They have a natural life-span. They do not live forever. Violets will grow new leaves and then will flower again if well grown.
