My apartment is cooking my plants.

Yesterday I came home to find that the air conditioning in my apartment building is kaput, and maintenance won't have it back up and running till tomorrow. Of course this happens to be in the (hopefully) last burst of heat this season. (Not quite a "heat wave" but maybe a "hot flash.")

About a week and a half ago, I acquired a new plant (just a grocery store thing) and separated some suckers. They don't seem to be doing well with this heat! (I'm assuming it's the heat, anyway...) They are looking limp and pathetic. A few others that were not recently tinkered with are not looking too bothered, maybe some slight curl. I tried to find a cooler place, but it's pretty much just hot everywhere. The closet is worse because the wall it is on gets direct sun most of the day.

Is there anything else I can do? Is there a chance they will perk back up when this is all over? Or should I just not get too attached?
