I noticed in the archived messages an experiment by quinnfyre. She had broken a couple of leaves from her Rebel's Astro Spinner chimera. She was hoping to get Rebel's Splatter Kake from the leaves. The first baby to bloom turned out to be Rebel's Night Breezes. Later she was delighted to get a Splatter Kake.

Last winter one of my cats ate/mangled most of the leaves on my R. Astro Spinner, so I salvaged the best chewed leaves and put them in water. My first one bloomed a few weeks ago. It has thick long lasting white stars. The second plant bloomed several days ago. It is R. Night Breezes. To my surprise and delight, yesterday the third one bloomed. It is a strong pink with a Geneva edge. I am still hoping for a Splatter Kake. Have at least 2 others which haven't yet shown their colors. A fun and free experiment!
