Harbor Blue won best in show at my most recent liCal show, thought I didn't grow it. I find Optimara EverBeautiful, Optimara EverGrace, and Buckeye Candy Kisses all grow very easily and I did well with them at show.

I should add Tropic Heat to my list too. I literally did nothing other than take off a few older, yellowed leaves and earned a blue ribbon with it. It grows very symmetrically without a lot of effort. Worth looking into if you like red star blossoms.

Jerome, Suncoast Lavender Silk is one. A two-tone lavender with very nice variegated foliage. I grew this one years ago, very easy grower without a lot of effort.

I have a plant of Ma's Winter Moon that's done just about zero since I got it in September. The other plants, Ma's Wedding Day and Jean-Pierre Croteau are doing something...but Winter Moon is playing possum. Not dead or dying, just not doing anything. I fertilize with a non-urea fertilizer (mild solution) and a drop of "SuperThrive" every time I water...it's getting enough light too.

One of my club friends made an observation - to make Ma's violets perform at their best - you need to order VioletBarn's soil.

That's interesting ... I've had (4) of Ma's violets for about a year now ... and they're definitely bringing up the rear.

I have a few of Ma's varieties that perform well in my soil. Maybe the trick is to get them into your own soil as soon as they have acclimated to your environment?

Jerome, you may want to take the plant out of it's pot to see what's going on with the roots.
