Can someone please explain to me the Japanese technique or method of growing large violets?
Thanks so much.

RE: Japanese technique

HI,
The Japanese method applies to trailers. When crowns are long they are pinned down to the soil so that they root and produce new shoots. They are never separated from the original plant because trailers are supposed to have one plant in a pot with a minimum of 3 crowns all in bloom.
