| Hello All, has anyone tried starting African Violet seeds with Byron's tea recipe??The original thread was from GardenWeb from 2002. I bought some chamomile tea today at the Dollar Tree and hoping that it would help to germinate seeds this way? Any advice would be appreciated...Angela

| Angela - I didn't read it all - too long of a thread - but - you cannot put violet seeds between the paper towels - they are so small- you will never scrape them off this towel. You need to sprinkle them on a surface of the moist starter soil mix and get them covered. You can probably put your container in a fridge and spray it with tea - but usually if the seeds are fresh - you will have way too many seedlings, if they are old... they are dead. Irina |

| Thanks Irina, you made it simple to understand. I will probaubly forego the chamomile tea until I plant something else. Angela |
