Does your local area have a meeting where you could meet and exchange leaves/plants? Many will gladly give you free plants for participating. It would be a way for you to get them without waiting or postage.

Over half of my collection (now over 100) has come from bringing plants home from the meetings where we play in the dirt.

Welcome to the forum, Molly. I second Dora's suggestion to attend meetings if you have a club near you.

I know sometimes people feel that if they have nothing to trade, they shouldn't go. Believe me, nothing could be further from the truth! We all had two noids at one point in time, and the people at a club are very generous about sharing. This is an addiction, and they are all enablers!! So find a club, attend with enthusiasm, and you'll be amazed at how much you learn, how quickly your collection grows, and how much fun you'll have.

You can check the AVSA website for a listing of clubs in Texas, and there is a lot. Lucky you!.

Too bad the clubs are too far away. It's a great place to learn about violets and get extra leaves and plants from members. The AVSA website has a list of venders that sell leaves and plants. If you start now, by spring you will have some extras to trade and you can get even more! Welcome to the forum!
