Strange observation with my babies

I have a bunch of babies potted up in dixie cups. I've had them sitting under my light on my shelf, but I decided to increase their humidity and put them all in a container filled with water and a plastic lid on top with holes cut in it (it's one of those heavy duty foil casserole type things you can cook with). After about a week, I noticed one day all of them seemed to perk up and their leaves have all risen up like they are reaching for light. Any ideas? They are the same distance to the light, only they are covered with a clear plastic lid. Nothing else is different, other than the increased humidity. Would that cause them to do that ?? It's hard to tell in this picture, but if you look from the left to the right, you can sort of tell the leaves have reached up. Up until 2 days ago, they went from lying flat to angling upwards.

OK, which is which? Because if the left if a before pic and the right is an after, their leaves have grown. tish

left is before, right is after... it's only one day in between. i said the change is hard to tell from these pictures, that's why I described what was going on. they haven't grown so much as they've reached upwards, which makes them look like they've grown more than they have.

Hi Frank,

Any time you change the climate that an African violet is in there is a possibility that the plant will show a slight change. Looking at the plant from the picture I would say that the reaching up is not enough to indicate that the plant is not getting enough light and therefore reaching towards the light. It's just possible that the plant is a little more upright because of the increase in humidity.

Okay, that was my assumption. But I also assume more humidity is better so I should keep them as is until they are too big to all fit in what I have them in.
