Does anyone have 'Dainty Doll' or 'Garnet Elf" I have been looking for these forever. They are very old and I hate to think that they have been lost.

Linda, I looked at First Class - both types are gorgeous! I don't have it, but I'll sent e-mail to our club members, maybe someone has it. I'll let you know.

    Lina,

Thanks! These two were among the first I grew and I would love to have them again!

Garnet Elf was up for auction a few months ago. Perhaps the seller has more available. (Please note that I don't have any experience with the seller.)

At least now you know Garnet Elf is not lost!

And Dainty Doll still exists across the pond! (I don't have any experience with the seller either)

    Ultra,

Thanks for the info. I buy regularly from the Dainty Doll seller. In fact, I am waiting for a shipment now! I'll keep my eye out for them both.

Linda, The newest podcast of Annie's All About African Violets.com Episode 73 Sunday 11/17 has a visit with
Joyce and Kent Stork. He is raising Garnet Elf. On the video, at about 22 minutes into it, he shows GE.
    Perhaps you can contact them.

Thanks! I'll check it out. Also, where did you see the video on Russian nurseries you mentioned in the other thread? I'd like to see it.

    Thanks,

I think I was watching a video on the Holtkamp.eu
    (European) website
about the company. Because it was a You Tube video,
when it ended, a list of other video about foreign commercial growers, including Russian, that were posted on You Tube popped up. The title was in Russian letters,
so I did not try to write it down. The audio is also in
Russian. If I come across it again, I will let you know.
There are a lot of short videos on Russian or Ukranian
violets made in those countries on You Tube. Maybe I can
copy and paste the title and Irina can help us out.

    Thanks.

I'll snoop around a bit but if you find it again, let me know.

That is strange. Yes, it took them, umm, several weeks to get back to me, but i would have thought they'd expect your email...

    We'll just keep looking ;-)

    Linda,
There are 2 leaves of garnet elf on eBay. The listing ends tomorrow. Do you ever buy from there? The bid is at $6 with $8.95 shipping.
