how to force violets to bloom

I have four Violets, and they all had flowers when i bought them, now they have none, how can i get them to bloomm? thanks

Tricia, you don't want to *force* your violets, you want to *entice* them.

Check out the FAQ on the forum's main page, and the link below. They'll tell you all you need to know to grow happily blooming African violets.

Also, they rest between bloom cycles, so it may be a while. But mostly I'll bet you need to repot into AV mix (1 part peat or coconut coir, 1 part perlite, 1 part vermiculite, and a handful of horticultural charcoal). The stuff they come in is *much* too heavy.
