This one is a top view of it. I was hoping it would work itself out, but it doesn't seem to be, so far.

They sometimes do this from too much light. I would try moving it to less light and probably natural light. Some varieties are very light sensitive. You should be able to tell if this is the problem in a few days.

The theory is that violets will sometimes do this to protect their crowns from too much light. If you can't find a lower light spot, put a piece of tissue on top of the plant to reduce the light. As Perle says, you should see results in a few days.

That makes sense. I've moved it more away from the window and will keep an eye on it for the next few days. Fingers crossed that's it!

You probably already know this, but be sure and turn it every few days to keep the growth symmetrical.
