I recycle tin cans. All of the geraniums are in metal coffee cans as are the pansies.
I use tin pineapple and tuna fish cans as saucers for the AV's.

The plant is varying shades of purple and glitter. Fantasy most likely. The plant is small and the flowers are large.

The DH is really impressed with it. Very simple large and brilliant flowers.

Pretty flower! I recycle yogurt containers. The 5.3 oz container is just the right size for many violets. Many brands have removable labels & with a few holes in the bottom, you are set for potting!

The metal cans are very elegant. I read a quote, not certain from where, "The Glass Menagerie" or "To Kill a Mocking Bird," that stated, "red geraniums in rusted tin cans."

I repot often enough that my tins are always shiny bright.

I used recycled plastic for leaves and boughten plastic pots for the AV's set in the small pineapple or tuna fish tin saucers but I always have to find a cache pot as the plastic is not pretty, IMHO.

The red geraniums are glorious in tin. I have larger, dark glossy ceramic bowls and a recycled aluminum cook pot sans handle that I use as saucers for the geraniums and pansies. The metal cans are the best looking pots I have found.

The only downside is it is not as easy to get a plant out of metal for repotting as it is with plastic.

Hey Lucky, I'm glad your TLC has rewarded you with blooms! Very pretty! Also quite satisfying to "save" an av from certain death. Lol
