For whatever reason I decided to experiment with rooting some AV leaves.

I put down leaves on October 18; two each of six varieties. I used rooting hormone on all 12. One leaf of each variety I put in sphagnum moss and other half in 50-50 P & V. Set them on the same stand in the same row and the same distance from the lights.

Those in sphagnum moss were quite firm in their little cups in 10-12 days (I resisted checking until Day 10); those in the perlite/vermiculite are now resistant to tugging 17 days later. So they are about a week behind their mossy brothers and sisters.
