Ma's Spanish Eyes (O. Robinson)

Want to introduce one of favorites types Ma's Spanish Eyes. This is the first time blooming

After the first bloom I removed at least 3 rows of the leaves, but not at ones - one or two leaves at the time every week. And I didn't let the plant to bloom again until it formed this beautiful foliage

The variegation now is better than before

The foliage is flat like a plate

Now my plant is ready for the next bloom. If somebody has this type I would appreciate if you'll show your plant to us.

That is a very beautiful plant you have grown. It is beautiful with or without blossoms. I enjoyed looking at your high quality and colorful photos that you shared.

I like too see what others are doing for growing spaces also and have some nice pictures of my set up. I'll play with figuring out how to post photos here.

Your Ma's Spanish Eyes is gorgeous - I like the foliage and the blooms both. It is one I've considered getting and didn't - thought I'd try Lyons Solemn Promise instead, looking for a light blue variety in the collection, but after seeing your photos I'm rethinking that decision!

Shallon, thanks for the thought on Solemn Promise! Sounds like another good one!
It can be challenging to achieve that level of perfection in the variegation as shown in "Sp. Eyes' shown above.
A Silverglade Baubles just bloomed in my collection for the first time. It looks like it will be similar to "Sp. Eyes." However, the leaves are solid dark green. I got it from Fancy Bloomers in NJ. It is a vintage plant. Joanne
