NOID = no identification, like open-pollinated flowers, or even self pollinated flowers if they are not heirloom. Some people use it for mislabelled plants too, like if you buy amaryllis "Apple Blossom" but it turns out it is not "Apple Blossom." It is just a general term for no identification (or not identified).

Plugs are those little plants in little containers that you later transplant to you garden. You would typcially buy plugs from nurseries or places like Lowes or Home Depot.

NOID means NO IDentification.

Plugs of African violets are sometimes for sale on Ebay. These are baby plants with roots that are wrapped and sent with no soil.
