| I got this time:
Alliance
Also, I'm doing it "right" this time, based on what I've learned here. Oyama pots are ready to repot them, when I have a free moment, and I have some of the wicking soil on order from the Violet Barn...we're gonna do it perfectly from the get-go this time. Alliance and Funambule have beautifully variegated foliage. Jamaica Farewell should also, but as a baby it is just dark dark greenish red foliage with no sign of variegation. Either I got a mislabled plant or the variegation develops later. This hobby is great fun. I enjoy the fact that the plants are not subject to the elements. This past month, the worst winds in decades just blew the abbey rose gardens to smithereens - we even lost 4 younger bushes, blown clean outta the ground - and that is a stressful experience. Having houseplants, you avoid that kind of thing. |
