Boy, this drought is terrible. I'm a few miles south of Cullman and I don't remember the last good rain we got. Our grass is California-crunchy!

I'm having to water my garden but we'll be on vacation for about a week...my housesitter is in no condition to wrangle hoses. In my wisdom, I tried companion planting in squares this year, so it's not like I can string out a line of soaker hose.

Can any of you give me some advice as to an adaptable type watering system?
