If you don't mind me asking, where were you able to find your mushroom compost and how much would one have to pay for some? I live in Coastal Bama also and an very interested. We live in Spanish Fort close to Mobile Bay and my soil is terrible to say the least, pretty much clay. :(

I just happened to note a landscape company advertising close to me that wasn't on the list. I called the website dealers and the landscape company. In my case the landscape company was cheaper.
All charged $40 a square yard for the mushroom compost but the delivery charges varied.

In the past I have ordered a load of topsoil from local gravel/dirt company and have been totally disappointed, it was more like fill dirt.
The mushroom compost is wonderfully rich and although more expensive then the top soil I've ordered. (double in price) I haven't a doubt I'm getting 80% better quality if not more.

Oh I forgot. Delivery cost was $30 from landscape place. Others wanted $75.

From what I understand they will deliver any amount, doesn't have to be a truck load.

I purchased flower seeds this past weekend also . . . I need to set in trays . . . haven't done so yet.
