Gardenwise for Christmas, that is. I got a new pair of leather gardening gloves (the fingers tips were out in my old ones), some metal plant labels and a new wheelbarrow - deep metal tub, metal handles and a solid rubber, flat-free tire !! It's the Cadillac of wheelbarrows. WOOO HOOO. I've already broken in the gloves and barrow and used some of my labels. How about y'all?? Linda

Congratulations on the great haul of garden stuff. I also received new gloves this year. Christmas 2004 was my year to get 2 new shovels and a new cart. It won't be long until they will be well-used. Enjoy!

I got some beautiful 12 volt, drooping bell-shaped flower lights. I've been lusting for them for a LONG time but they were so expensive I thought I'd never have them. Have to dig out the transformer when Roger gets time to help me.

I got a blower/vacuum to use to mulch leaves(not to blow them). It's already been used a few times, and I have plenty more leaves to practice on, lol.

A power washer. It is supposed to make cleaning the greenhouse easier. I think I got it because the gutters need washing. Happy New Year! - Terry

I racked up last year. All kinds of neat stuff. But this year was a total scratch. Now......I have four daughters, three of whom fancy themselves grown,(well, they've moved out anyway)....and you'd think that one of em' would've gotten me some kind of garden thing. But no. this year they had the excuse, "But you already have everything for your garden, so we didn't know what else we could get!"

PUUUHLLEASE!!!! I don't even have to tell ya'll that it is impossible to have everything for a garden! Course I kindly explained this to my girls. So maybe next year will be a little better than perfume and cooking stuff, etc.

I got a beautiful 2 feet tall cross for my garden with the following verse inscribed on it's base
Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord...." This was from one of my daughters. I also treated myself with a beautiful 2005 Lambertson daylily intro, Seven Angels.

As far as the yard/garden - I got a set of solar lights, a mini-tool set for gardening (for household use indoors)...

All I really wanted was my divorce papers signed though....

Tweetypye, that is one drop-dead gaw-geous daylily, well worth the self-treat. Did you mail-order or find it locally?
Rosey, sorry Santa didn't bring exactly what was on your list, but you still did ok.

outsideplaying: I ordered it from the hybridizers, Rachael and Ludlow Lambertson, who own the Art Gallery Gardens in Florida. Isn't it gorgerous? They have many more wonderful intros also.

among other things, I got a handy-dandy set of heavy-duty, contractor-quality post hole diggers. hopefully now I can dig lots of nice round post holes in the rock quarry that I call my yard. if not, maybe santa will bring blasting caps & dynomite next time.

Got a good used moldboard turning plow for my new garden tractor. I had been hunting one for two months. When my friend found one he kept quiet and told my wife. Now I'm looking for a good disc harrow. Got one to sell?

My MIL (per my husband's suggestion) gave me some wonderful new gardening tools. I've always used the cheapos. My husband told his mother that I needed a hand spade that wouldn't bend backwards when I tried to plant something in our clay, so she gave me a whole set of super sturdy gardening tools. One is a big pointed digger scoop thing with 'teeth' on the sides of it. I LOVE it!

And here is a hint for planting bulbs. I bought a huge auger at Home Depot or some such store a few years ago. You attatch it to an electric drill and drill your bulb holes. It works great! It makes about 3" diameter holes.

    Hang in there Rosemary!
