best strawberries to plant

I thought I would try my hand at growing some strawberries this year and I'm not sure which variety would be the best to plant. I live south of Dothan, AL. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

They grow lot of strawberries in Conecuh County, AL, just a few mile north of you. In fact, they have a strawberry festival in Castleberry, AL every spring. I have given you a link to the Conecuh county agricultural extension service in Evergreen, AL. Give them a call and see what varieties they recommend.
