It is high season in the Camellia State and the Birmingham Camellia Show is this weekend Feb 11-12 at the Botanical Gardens. Hundreds of amazing blooms, choice plants for sale, information on growing camellias. First Lady Patsy Riley will be there to open the show at 2 pm, show runs all afternoon on Saturday and also Sunday afternoon. Great opportunity to see the state flower on display inside, as well as blooming in the gardens.

What kind of juried competitions will there be, and are you entering anything? Sounds like a good reason for a......FIELD TRIP!!!! The botanical gardens are easy to get to and the admission is free, by the way.
