Spacing for Confederate Jasmine

What is the correct spacing of Confederate Jasmine?? I want to plant some in my backyard to run down the hill and stop erosion and I need to know the correct spacing and when to plant it...please. I am a newbie gardener, Other than marigolds and impatiens I am new at all this...I did have a Confederate Jasmine that took over a corner of my yard when we lived in extreme SE GA.

Laura, I'm not too convinced that Confederate Jasmine would be a good choice for such an important role in your landscaping. Your Birmingham climate is the reason ; CJ can be severely injured or killed outright by temperatures much below 10ÃÂ° F. You might have a few mild winters and then POW!

That might be another good question for the Extension people. And hopefully, some people closer to you than I am (Huntsville) can advise you, too.
