Moving to Gadsden

Hello - in June I will be moving to Gadsden, where I grew up. It has been over 20 years since I lived in the area and at that time was doing mostly vegetable gardening. This time I will be doing butterfly gardening as well, and would like recommendations about which flowers will do well there and will attract butterflies.

Do hollyhocks do OK there? Here in New Orleans they will not live.

Hollyhocks do well here. Here are some more plants that attract butterflies -

butterfly bush (buddleia)
lantana
salvia
zinnia
milkweed
goldenrod
jasmine
marigolds
purple coneflower
black-eyed susan (rudbeckia)
