Hey, Dorie - Meridianville looks like a mess; hope you are not out there. We didn't get a lot this morning where I am in Harvest, but neighborhoods north & east of us sustained some major damage.

And we're not out of the woods yet.

It's been all sunshine here although the wind is getting rough. Keep your head down this evening, folks. It might go out with a whimper but we also might be in for a bumpy ride.

My pet sitter is from Huntsville, and he got a call from his father today, to let him know they were okay but two funnels touched down in that area. Not good news. It seems we've been overcast and windy for almost two weeks even here in Mobile, but the last embedded storm passed two miles to the north of us as it followed I-10 east.

Dorie: Let us know how you are. I hope the Huntsville twisters didn't come your way. Our daughter drove down from Nashville and managed to slip through between storms, but it took some careful planning. Lots of rain, wind, and thunder in Gadsden, but no problems that I know of.

All fine here. It was eery how much the first storm on Friday followed the same path as one of the worst tornadoes from last year. I live fairly close to the outskirts of New Market.
