Has anyone in the central Alabama area have any input as to the proper type of glazing for a greenhouse in our area?

I am wanting to raise some tropicals such as orchid and what as a kid in Florida we called air plants.

I have noticed that most of the commerical greenhouses around here have an opaque type plastic on them. Not really wanting to just put up a plastic greenhouse, I was pondering using something like the product solexx for a greenhouse.

I will be able to put the greenhouse to where it will get almost full sun all day. It will have the long wall facing south and the ends will be east/west.

I have read that more plants die in a greenhouse because of heat, rather than cold, so that is one of my main reasons for asking these questions.
