This spring I trimmed my Oleander. They look dead but have some green around the base. Do I need to trim them all the way back and let the new growth from the base come up or just leave it the way it is. I have a friend who has an Oleander that stays green year round and mine don't. Doing something wrong? Hers is a little more mature than mine.
