Slightly off topic

When we had the fall trade several years ago at the house in Hoover (can't remember the couples's name) someone brought Cowboy Beans to share for lunch and had copies of the recipe. I can't find my recipe. Does anyone have a copy?

And had a GREAT time at Oak Mountain - great plants, good food - super people. Linda

Hi Linda:

I brought the Cowboy Beans to the fall trade a couple of years ago. Here's the recipe:

1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 C Worcestershire sauce
1 C brown sugar
2 C ketchup
1 onion, chopped
1 can each: pinto beans, lima beans, pork n beans, Great Northern beans and red kidney beans

Cook chuck with onion and pepper until done; drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a large crock pot; turn on high until well heated. Once well heated turn on low and cook 4-5 hours.

I haven't been able to come to the recent trades - bummer.

Hope you enjoy,
