Extension System and Master Gardener resources for AL gardeners

It takes lots of information to maintain a garden of any kind and we gardenwebbers can't always come up with the answers you need. If you want more information about growing tomatoes in your back yard or what's killing your camellias, you have virtually endless resources on line from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System at Auburn. Just go to www.aces.edu/ and use the search box in the upper right hand corner to find just about anything anything farm or garden related. You'll find lots of articles written specifically for conditions in our state.

You can also call the Master Gardener helpline for answers. Dial 1-877-252-GROW (4769) and listen to the menu the find the extension for your region of Alabama. Press that number and you'll find a Master Gardener ready to help. It may help to check the link below to find your region before you call.

Those of us GWers who're Master Gardeners have all worked the helpline and madabouteu (Kenneth) is in charge of the one in Gadsden covering Northeast Alabama If you live in that area you may well find him on the line when you call. Check it out.
