noid fern = no id fern

I know what "noid" is, I just don't know what variety the fern is- LOL. Thank you for answering though (-:

Not sensitive fern. Perhaps Cinnamon fern. Hard to tell from such a limited photo. Perhaps if you could take a picture of the whole frond?

Bracken fern, maybe?

Thanks, Linda, that looks like it may be the one. I like the "thumbs" on the end of each frond, and how airy it looks. Whew- I just looked up some fern terminology...and realized that I need to learn them, as well. So many plants...so many terms...so much to learn...so much fun (-:

Agreed, bracken fern. For this fern, a far off shot showing the habit of the plant was better than a super close up shot.

In good garden conditions, this is an aggressive fern. In hot, dry conditions (such as well draining sandy soil), it is more controllable.
