Crinum lily

My pure white Crinum Lily produces beautiful stalks of numerous flowers. BUT the flower stalks are always twisted and the flowers end up bent over and on the ground. Does any one know why? Neither my red one nor the striped one (milk and wine) do this.

RE: Crinum lily

Sometimes too much nitrogen after an iris has started to send up the bloom stalk will cause the leaves and stalk to twist. Maybe it is a similar thing...just a guess.
